Note:

This video is not meant as a blanket denunciation of psychiatric medication. Psychiatric medication undoubtedly saves lives, and rescues many more people from great suffering. However, the excessive and inappropriate use of psychotropic drugs can lead to serious physical and mental problems (such as antidepressant-induced mania, cognitive difficulties and confusion, diabetes, extreme weight gain, tardive dyskinesia, and thyroid, kidney, or liver failure), and it is this misuse of psychopharmacology that I intend to warn against. I have personally suffered serious consequences (and few benefits) from years of psychotropic drugs, and I wish I had known as much about the dangers when I began to take them as I do now.
